Term 3, 2023

Term 3 (April 17th - May 19th) was the term of portraits! I want to express my gratitude to my Canadian friends, Andrew and Sarah, for graciously sending over pictures for our students to paint. The range of styles was astonishing, and each student produced truly exceptional work. Additionally, the students explored bird portraits during this term.

As usual, students are free to explore their personal interest projects instead of the term theme, resulting in still life paintings and landscapes being showcased as well. We were delighted to welcome 12 new students for term 3, all of whom created stunning pieces.

Throughout the term, students experimented with various mediums, including watercolor, acrylic, and oil paint. Some students are still putting the finishing touches on their paintings, which will be completed in term 4. Without further ado, please scroll down to admire the breathtaking finished pieces from term 3!

Progress pictures

Presented below is a collection of work-in-progress artworks from Term 3. Please note that the completion of these artworks often requires several weeks of dedicated effort. Take a glimpse into the fascinating process and witness the paintings evolve through different stages. Our adult classes encompass a wide range of skill levels, from absolute beginners to advanced artists. It is truly a joy to witness these paintings come to life.
